Skill: Your stem turns are reliable in any snow conditions. You don’t mind narrow turns.

Fitness: 3 to 4 hrs. climbs per day plus 1 to 2 hrs. ski runs.

Tour Description

The limestone plateau of the Fanesalm is located between Alta Badia and the Ampezzo Dolomites. Framed by a wreath of bizarre peaks, they offer something of everything: ski tours in all directions in every difficulty level and also one or two racy steep descents, a cozy hut with all the comforts and of course excellent South Tyrolean cuisine.

Services included: Organization and reservation, guided tour by state-certified mountain guides and their expenses.

1. Tag

Meeting point in St. Lorenzen in Val Pusteria. Common continuation to Pederü, ascent to Faneshütte (2060 m, approx. 2 hours). Note: Baggage transport is possible on the Faneshütte. It is therefore advisable to put those items that you do not need for the hut climb into a separate bag.

Our today's destination is the Col Becchei, 2794 m. About 2 1/2 to 3 hours, we take time for the ascent, and then return to the hut via dreamlike southern slopes.

3. Tag

Today we take the Neunerspitze, 2968 m, whose winter summit offers us an impressive view of the circular area of Fanes plateau. In about 3 hours ascent we reach the highest point of the tour. The descent takes us back the same way. Before the short ascent to the Faneshütte we can stop at the Lavarella hut.

4. Tag

Beautifully hilly terrain leads us today to the Monte Castello, 2912 m. A longer pleasure tour over easy, steep slopes with approx. 3 1/2 hours ascent. During the run down, we can choose the most beautiful lines in a wide open area.

We let it end comfortably with a short tour to the "hut summit" La Stiga, 2786 m. After the descent we can stop once again at the hut to enjoy a "Strudel di Mele" with capuccino, before we ski down to Pederü.
