The most beautiful ladder to heaven is one of the most impressive tours in the Alps. It challenges the alpine “universalist”: rock and snow, narrow snow ridges and steep flanks – there is a bit of everything. Last but not least, a good dose of stamina is required to manage the enormous route from the Tschierva Hut over the Piz Bernina, the Marco e Rosa Hut and the Fortezza Ridge to the Diavolezza.
