Fitness: up to 6-hour climbs and training per day.

Tour Description

√How to use a shovel and probe
√How to react and organize yourself in an emergency situation
√How to rescue and protect an avalanche victim
√How to interpret avalanche and weather reports
√How to recognize dangerous terrain

Details

Number of participants: max. 6 per guide.
Services included: 2.5 days of training and guiding by a state approved mountain guide, guide’s expenses.
Services excluded: accommodations in the training area (2 nights, if necessary), food and transfers.

1. Tag

Theoretical basic knowledge about snow, weather, avlanches and First Aid fill out the first evening. At the end we plan the next day (e. g. which training area we select).

2. Tag

Within the bounds of short skitour we will put our theoretical knowledge to pratice. Estimation of the skiing terrain, investigation of the snow layers, compilation of ascending ski tracks and avalanche beacon training is our program of this day. At the end we recapitulate our acquired abilities beside a highly enjoyable beer (or whatever) and plan the next day.

3. Tag

Now we got enough knowledge to carry out a ski tour almost by ourselves under supervision of the guide. A simulated rescue operation is also part of this day’s program.
