In the second week of May 2025, conditions on the second-highest mountain range in the Alps were almost perfect: up to 30 cm of powder snow from the ski depot at 4,300 m to 3,500 m. A few meters of broken crust were bearable, as we were then able to carve our turns on the finest firn snow all the way to the Monte Rosa Hut. I was able to congratulate my guests three times at the summit cross.<\/p>\n
