Biancograt the “second”: it was the end of August, summer was drawing to a close. Nevertheless, the conditions on the ridge were still acceptable. I had to secure my guest over bare ice for 3 rope lengths of 40 m each – not everyone’s cup of tea, but there were very few people out there. The rest of the path was in very good condition and so my guest and I enjoyed the ascent to the highest peak in the Eastern Alps in glorious weather and solitary silence.<\/p>\n
