Tour Description

This high-altitude tour starts and ends in the well-known Swiss town of Saas Fee. For the first summit, the Alphubel, the Metro Alpin helps us to shorten the climb. The second day, which leads us to the Rimpfischhorn, is longer and also a bit technical challenge against the 4199 m high rock peak. The last ascent to the Allalinhorn is enjoyable and the descent to the Metro Alpin railway, which is only 500 meters long, is very relaxing.

At 6:30 am we meet at the valley station Alpin Express in Saas Fee. By cable car and the metro Alpin reach the mountain station Mittelallalin. Over glaciers we reach the Feejoch from where a simple ridge leads us to the Feekopf. After a short glacier descent into the Alphubeljoch, an elegant snow ridge leads over the impressive "ice nose" to the summit plateau of Alphubel. On the same way we return to the yoke, turn west and descend to Täschhütte.

The Britannia hut already in view, we also create the last 100m ascent there.
